VCCI Mark Certification
The VCCI Mark is a voluntary certification for IT equipment in Japan. The Japanese Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment is the responsible Japanese authority.
The council was founded by Japanese industry associations and initiated by the Japanese government to impose standards on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) among electronic device manufacturers.
Products that can apply for the VCCI Mark:
- Information technology equipment
- Audio and video equipment
- Household and similar use appliances
- Lighting products
- Electric tools
- Laboratory, test and measurement equipment
- Low-voltage electrical equipment
- Electrical wires and cables
- Switches for circuits, installation protective and connection devices
Although the VCCI Mark is not a mandatory requirement in Japan, it is a well-regarded indicator for high quality standards.
Products that can achieve a VCCI Mark are divided in Category A (all products except household appliances) and Category B (household appliances).
Only members of the VCCI council can apply for this certification. We can assist you becoming a VCCI member and start the certification process.
Test reports that are necessary for the VCCI Mark Certification can only be conducted in VCCI accredited test laboratories. These test reports as well as the Conformity Verification Report have to be uploaded to the VCCI system.
All products that have successfully received a VCCI Mark Certification are required to be marked with the VCCI label.
